New Personal Electronic Devices (PED) Pilot Policy at all WWCS High Schools

We are experiencing the realities of 21st century culture. Most students attending WWCSD own and use electronic devices daily. In many instances families require communications by cell phone with their children. Today’s students not only talk on these devices, but text, listen to music and use a myriad of other smart phone applications in their daily life.

The new pilot policy was developed to: 1) Enhance technology applications in classrooms; 2) Improve consistency in PED policy from classroom to classroom; and 3) Decrease suspensions and subsequently increase instructional time and therefore positively impact student achievement. To view a copy of the new PED Pilot Policy please click on the link below.

Vision, Mission, and Belief Statement

Vision Statement
Wayne Memorial High School will become a highly functional Professional Learning Community (PLC) where all students will learn at high levels. Our staff will work in collaborative teams focused on learning. All teams will use data to drive instruction and we will focus on answering the four basic questions of a PLC:
1.)    What do we want students to learn?
2.)    How are we going to know if they learned it?
3.)    What are we going to do if they didn’t learn it?
4.)    How will we enrich those who already know it?

  Mission

Success is the only option for our students. We have Wayne Pride!

Belief Statement
All children can learn at high levels.
