The WMHS Athletic Program offers the following:
Baseball, Basketball, Cheerleading, Cross Country, Dance, Football, Golf, Soccer, Softball, Swimming, Tennis, Track, Volleyball, Wrestling, Bowling, & Competitive Cheer.
All students participating in a sport must have an athletic physical and acknowledgement/responsibility form every year. Ninth-graders should get their sports physical form completed when they receive their immunizations. Please bring your updated sports physical and acknowledgment/responsibility form with you to registration and give them to Mrs. Taamneh. In order for you to participate in any athletic event, we must have an updated athletic physical on file dated April 15, 2009 or later BEFORE you try out.
- Start date for football is August 10, 2009. All other Fall sports begin August 12, 2009!
- Winter Sports begin in November. There are various starting dates so please check the MHSAA web site for more information.
- Official start date for Spring Sports will be March 15, 2010.
Sports Physicals
All students wishing to participate in any sports team at Wayne Memorial must have a current sports physical on file with the Athletic Director. The physical must be dated after April 15, 2009 to be valid for the 2009- 2010 school year. Listed below are locations where sports physicals are administered free or a very nominal fee. Appointments are necessary and student athletes must bring a completed physical form signed by their parent or guardian. Please identify yourself as a Wayne Memorial student-athlete when making your appointment.
